No matter who we associate with or in what capacity, the matter of "sincerity" is the most important thing. Who agrees with this statement? I really want to say that this is absolutely true. There’s no need to think or hesitate. If we want the word sincerity to have even more significance, it must manifest as us giving our sincerity to others, and the result will be the sincerity we receive in return. This will certainly make us feel good, and the sincerity we receive back will serve as encouragement for us to do more good things for others.

However, if the sincerity we offer is met with mere deception or insincerity, it can be very disheartening. But believe me, it’s not always the case that when we give our sincerity and do good for others, we receive deceit in return. Because if we give our sincerity in the right place, to the right person, and at the right time, it will surely hold value.

Humans cannot live alone in this world. Being social creatures, everyone needs friends. Therefore, there will be many people who come into our lives, both good and bad. As we grow older, we can more easily discern who among those who enter our lives is sincere and who is just pretending. We will notice that the number of people who are truly sincere with us decreases over time. To determine who is sincere, we can look for signs such as:

>> People who do not lead us astray <<

When people decide to be friends, they should only encourage each other towards good things, not lead each other down a bad path or cause harm. If we see someone we love making a mistake, we should stop them, not encourage them to make bigger mistakes. Remember, if we truly love someone, we will be happy to see them do well and want to walk the good path together. We will care for each other, and we can observe that those who are sincere with us will be more concerned about us in subtle ways than others. They will foresee the consequences and will always be there to warn and care for us.

>> Sincerity can be felt without needing to be spoken <<

Those who love and truly understand each other can communicate just by looking into each other’s eyes. There’s no need for many words to know what the other person thinks and feels. Sometimes, we don’t even need to explain much; just looking into each other’s eyes or observing behaviors can convey feelings immediately. If we are uneasy about something or show even the slightest change from our usual selves, that person will understand us right away without needing to say anything. Moreover, the sincerity shared will allow them to know what we like and dislike, and they don’t need to know everything about us. There’s a certain energy that allows us to sense what the other person enjoys. This is what true sincerity looks like, as they will pay attention and notice details, sometimes even surprising us with how well they know us.

>> People who stand by us in every situation, whether good or bad <<

When people are sincere with each other, they will not abandon one another, right? The phrase "not abandoning each other" means that when one party faces a situation where they need someone, there will always be someone standing by their side to help them through it. They will provide encouragement and good advice. Importantly, there will be someone who listens and shares various stories with us comfortably. We will have someone who can listen to us about everything, from trivial matters to significant issues, without feeling awkward or uncomfortable. We will trust them and feel at ease sharing anything, confident that everything will improve when we talk to them. This is what it means to feel the most at ease when we are close to someone.

>> Not overly supportive and ready to correct us when we are wrong <<

In a relationship, we should not side with each other when a friend or loved one is wrong. We should listen when the other party corrects or admonishes us and use that feedback to improve. Sometimes, we may not see our own flaws, but those around us can see them clearly. However, only a few people are willing to tell us directly so that we can improve and change for the better. Those who are truly sincere will make it feel like no matter how long we are apart, when we meet again, it will feel like we were never apart. It will feel like we have been in constant communication, and we will feel that they have not disappeared; they are still there, right beside us.

>> No matter how angry we get, we will not abandon each other <<

In any relationship, it’s normal to have arguments or misunderstandings. However, true friends and those who genuinely love us will not let small issues ruin the relationship. Simply put, no matter how much we argue, that person will still be there and will not disappear. Some may argue and not speak to each other, but they still care and do nice things for each other. Before long, they will reconcile, as both sides will feel that the argument was trivial and will let it go.

>> Never think of lying, even about small things <<

Encountering deception and lies from insincere people outside our circle is already too much. If we have to play hide-and-seek with the truth from those close to us, it would be exhausting and disheartening, wouldn’t it? Therefore, if we have sincerity towards each other and intend to maintain a long-term relationship, we must not lie, even about small things. We should not make the other party feel disappointed, especially regarding trust. Whether it’s a friend or a long-term partner, we should not let small lies destroy the relationship we have built together. Remember, some people might tolerate many things, but if they find out that the other party has lied even once, trust will vanish completely. Therefore, those who are sincere with each other must have no lies between them.

What we must not forget is that sincerity comes from mutual trust and clarity that both parties have for each other. This applies not only to romantic partners but also to friends, siblings, bosses and subordinates, or anyone in any relationship. To avoid problems in our relationships, we should express sincerity from the very beginning. Anything that can be disclosed should be shared to avoid any future misunderstandings.

Building a relationship based on sincerity is not difficult at all. We just need to focus on creating more happiness in our relationships. Although we cannot see sincerity with our eyes, we can feel it with our hearts and emotions. Therefore, sincerity is the most important aspect of any relationship. However, I don’t want everyone to have too many expectations. This is something that must be proven over time. When getting to know someone, don’t invest everything right away. Take your time to observe. Don’t expect to receive sincerity in return, because if you don’t, you won’t be disappointed. But believe me, if we give our heart to someone, and if we do it in the right place, at the right time, and with the right person, we will surely receive sincerity back!
