Pack Your Suitcase: One Bag for Every Situation
This long holiday, pack your suitcase and head out for a trip or back home to the countryside to add some color and recharge your life!
When you set off on a journey, you want to pack everything you need, from stylish outfits to essential gear. However, many people encounter problems such as wrinkled clothes, scattered items, an overstuffed suitcase that won’t close, or having to carry a bag on the plane without checking it in. All these issues can be easily resolved. my home will show you some great packing tips that will ensure your trip is fun and hassle-free.

1. Choose Your Luggage
You can only bring one carry-on bag on board, which must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm, including handles, wheels, and side pockets. The bag must fit in the overhead compartment, and the total weight must not exceed 7 kg.

2. Long Pants and Jeans
Rolling or folding long pants takes up space in your suitcase. Lay them flat as a base at the bottom to avoid creases and provide good shock absorption.

3. Thick Winter Coat
Fold the thick winter coat and place it in a zip-lock bag, squeezing out all the air until it’s flat to save space.

4. T-shirts or Casual Outfits
Fold the clothes neatly, then roll them up and place them in another zip-lock bag to minimize space and keep them organized for easy access.

5. Dresses, Shirts, and Suits
For dresses, shirts, or suits that wrinkle easily, place tissue paper or thin paper between them while folding to create a structure that prevents fabric from rubbing against each other and wrinkling during travel. Then, place them in a zip-lock bag to maintain their shape.

6. Belts
Roll the belt and place it inside the collar of a shirt to prevent the shirt from wrinkling and to keep the belt from getting twisted.

7. Socks
Roll the socks inside out to form a small ball. Round items save space and are easy to access.

8. Glass Perfume Bottles or Fragile Items
Fragile items should be wrapped in socks to protect them from impacts.

9. Shoes
The inside of shoes can hold small items like socks or perfume bottles, which help maintain the shape of the shoes. To prevent dirt from the soles from getting on your belongings, place shoes in a zip-lock bag.

10. Underwear
Fold bras and tuck the straps behind. Arrange the underwear neatly in the same direction and place them in a zip-lock bag to prevent them from getting twisted and save space.

11. Cosmetics
To prevent powder makeup from breaking and spilling, place a cotton pad or puff inside the compact and store the makeup bag between clothes to cushion it from impacts. For the makeup bag, use a plastic one so it can be easily cleaned if it gets foundation or colored dust on it.

12. Toiletries and Skincare Products
If the bottle cap isn’t tight or if you encounter pressure changes on the plane, liquids may leak out. Use a plastic wrap to cover the top of the bottle and then secure the cap tightly. For liquid products, it’s better to use travel-sized bottles, each no more than 100 milliliters, and the total volume should not exceed 1,000 milliliters, stored in a clear zip-lock bag measuring 20 x 20 centimeters.

13. Jewelry and Small Trinkets
Store small items in a pillbox to prevent losing them and to avoid scratching your clothes.

14. Electrical Devices and Charging Cables
For headphones, phone chargers, and camera cables, use Velcro tape to bundle the wires neatly and store them in a small bag for easy access, as these items are often the first to be used.

15. Medications
You don’t need to bring all your medications, just the essentials for your trip. Check the climate and local diseases of your destination to prepare appropriate medications for emergencies.
Basic medications to carry include pain relievers, antihistamines, anti-diarrheal medications, motion sickness pills, ointments, and insect repellent.
Store them in a small bag for easy access in your carry-on. If you have chronic conditions, write down the names and dosages of your medications.
16. Books
Keep books in a zip-lock bag to prevent them from getting wrinkled or damaged. If you’re heading to a cold, humid mountain top, the zip-lock bag will help protect the books from moisture.
TIPS
Place heavier and bulkier clothing at the bottom, such as pants, winter coats, and rollable items. Non-rollable items like shirts, suits, and dresses should be placed on top. Underwear can be tucked into the corners of the suitcase, leaving the center space for personal items and fragile goods to be supported by other items to prevent shifting and damage.
