Understanding the Nature of Stress
Stress is a condition that the body responds to when threatened by various situations that cause us pressure, discomfort, anxiety, fear, worry, or a sense of danger. This leads to an imbalance in the body's and mind's state. The sources of stress can be categorized into three aspects:
1. Physical Aspect Stress arising from physical conditions can stem from health issues and illnesses, both severe and mild, which can all lead to stress. For example, feeling unwell or insufficient rest.
2. Mental Aspect Stress that originates from mental conditions often affects those with high levels of responsibility. When various issues arise, it can easily trigger stress. Additionally, individuals who are prone to worry and lack coping skills may experience immediate stress when faced with emotional challenges.
3. Social Aspect Stress caused by social triggers can arise from conflicts at work or within the family, leading to difficulties in adaptation. The absence of supportive individuals can increase stress, while having support can help reduce it.
When stress is addressed or alleviated, the body can readjust to a state of balance once again.
