The symptoms of stress can be categorized into four areas. Check to see if you might be experiencing stress.

1. Physical symptoms: such as rapid breathing, headaches, increased heart rate, high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar levels, etc.

2. Mental and emotional symptoms: feelings of anxiety, depression, pressure, anger, negative thoughts, easy fatigue, discouragement, lack of concentration.

3. Behavioral symptoms: such as insomnia or oversleeping, and possibly engaging in inappropriate behaviors like smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs.

4. Social symptoms: may manifest as boredom with work, decreased work efficiency, or reluctance to socialize, among others.

The severity of the consequences of stress varies depending on the individual's stress level, ranging from low levels that do not impact daily life to severe levels that can lead to stress-related illnesses such as hypertension, peptic ulcers, migraines, asthma, neurological symptoms, cancer, etc.
