What's New in Central Sukhumvit
The area of Central Sukhumvit is a luxury location that continues to attract developers and investors consistently. Towards the end of 2017, we have seen new investment perspectives and other changes in the Central Sukhumvit area that have created a buzz while enhancing convenience for Sukhumvit residents. This includes various retail projects, which TerraBKK has compiled to showcase interesting retail projects that are establishing themselves in Sukhumvit, indicating its status as a residential hub for expatriates.

The new and interesting projects we see are spread across the area from BTS Asoke - BTS Phra Khanong, overlapping between early and late Sukhumvit. This gives us a glimpse of the expansion of development from early and central Sukhumvit towards the later areas like Ekkamai and Phra Khanong. Particularly around BTS Asoke, the transportation infrastructure is highly developed, being a crucial intersection bustling with office buildings and serviced by two BTS lines, making this area evidently prosperous. Notable retail projects in Central Sukhumvit include:
Family Mart Sukhumvit 33
Family Mart may just be a small convenience store scattered around, but the Family Mart at Sukhumvit 33 has been revamped into a One Stop Shopping Destination, the first of its kind in Thailand to adopt the Japanese convenience store model, strategically located in an area densely populated with expatriates. This new Family Mart features two floors, including sections for general retail, ready-to-eat meals, a fresh coffee shop, snacks and beverages, fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, and other consumer goods, resembling a mini-market. Notably, the second floor offers an open space with Wi-Fi service and includes capsule toy vending machines to enhance the Japanese ambiance.

Parc 39 Sukhumvit 39
This mixed-use project in Sukhumvit 39 caters to both Thai and expatriate residents, featuring a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and even a boxing gym, open from midday until late at night.

ORI 24 (Park 24) Sukhumvit 24
A new project by Origin has acquired Park 24 Phase 2 to develop it into a fully-fledged mixed-use Lifestyle Complex. Although the details are not yet fully clear, the project will include a hotel, serviced apartments, office buildings, and retail spaces, which will further enliven Sukhumvit 24, already home to The Emporium.

Donki Mall Thonglor Sukhumvit 55
This project is considered a highlight of Thonglor, as Donki Mall or Don Quijote is the largest duty-free store in Japan that every shopper must visit at least once. It promises to add vibrancy to Thonglor, featuring a 9-story building with 3 basement parking levels and 6 retail floors. Currently, it is known that floors 1-2 will house Don Don Donki stores, while the 5th floor will include a famous character-themed amusement park, sports and entertainment center, and various restaurants.

Summer Hill Sukhumvit 46
Summer Hill is the latest project by a boutique developer, presented as a Mixed-use Lifestyle space featuring coffee shops, restaurants, a gym, and co-working spaces across an area of over 5 rai, with more than 40 shops.
