Thailand's 50 Richest 2017
According to the global ranking of the richest people by Forbes magazine, for Thailand, the Thailand's 50 Richest list by TerraBKK reveals that these individuals have built businesses that offer "products and services" widely accepted by Thai people, becoming an integral part of their daily lives. Almost all of them are public companies listed on the Thai stock market, including businesses in the food and beverage sector, telecommunications, retail, and transportation, among others. It is evident that most of these individuals are men aged 50 and above, who have weathered challenges and persevered until their businesses succeeded, earning them a spot on the 50 Richest People in Thailand 2017 list as follows:

1. The Chearavanont Family (CP Group) - $21.5 billion
2. Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi (Chang Beer) - $15.4 billion
3. The Chirathivat Family (Central Group) - $15.3 billion
4. Chalerm Yoovidhya (Red Bull) - $12.5 billion
5. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha (King Power Group, Leicester City Football Club) - $4.7 billion
6. Krit Ratanarak (Channel 7) - $3.9 billion
7. Wanich Chaiyawan (Thai Life Insurance) - $3.8 billion
8. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth (Bangkok Hospital, Bangkok Airways) - $2.6 billion
9. Santi Pimanpakdee (Singha Beer) - $2.3 billion
10. Aloke Lohia (Indorama Ventures) - $1.75 billion
This year also saw young and middle-aged individuals under 50 making it onto the list of Thailand's richest. They include Itthipat Peeradechapan, 32 years old (Tao Kae Noi) at rank 44 with assets of $610 million, Nichita Shah, 37 years old (Precious Shipping) at rank 37 with assets of $730 million, and Pichai Photharamik, 44 years old (Jasmine International) at rank 28 with assets of $1 billion.
Thai women are also making their mark, with strong female leaders of major businesses appearing on the list of Thailand's richest in 2017, totaling five individuals ranked by wealth:

29. Praneet Silpa-Wacharapol (Thai Rath) - $950 million
33. Surang Prempridi (Former Executive of Channel 7) - $820 million
37. Nichita Shah (Precious Shipping) - $730 million
46. Natchamai Tanombuncharoen (Carabao Group) - $590 million
